Housing Microfinance Training Materials – Phase 1: Market Research (3 days)
This module will require the participants to assess if their bank’s policies, procedures and status will enable them to offer housing microfinance loan product for their clients. They are also tasked to determine their objectives in offering the product.
(i) Use the MABS Approach to design a new product to meet demand for home improvements and other home-related purposes;
(ii) Use market research tools (survey, focus group discussions, key informant interview, and internal data gathering) to determine the markets and size for housing microfinance;
(iii) Experience actual hands-on practice in conducting survey interviews; and,
(iv) Develop an action plan to implement field market research and product development.
